From Kingston to London:
The Roots of Resilience
Cecile’s story begins in Kingston, Jamaica, where her early life was shaped by simplicity and hardship. When change arrived before she was ready for it, faith became her anchor. Her grandmother comforted her, brought her to church, and taught her the 23rd Psalm, a lesson that stayed with Cecile and continued to steady her through seasons of uncertainty.
When Cecile later arrived in London, she stepped into an entirely different world. The weather, the pace, and the blend of cultures expanded her view of people and language. That contrast became part of how she writes. Her characters may speak in different rhythms and levels of formality, but they share one reality: different worlds can still meet in a single story.
Finding Art in the Ordinary
In her early twenties, Cecile worked as a Child Care Officer, supporting young people through difficult circumstances. It was there she saw how storytelling can soften a hard environment and give people a moment of relief. Writing was not just creativity for her. It became a way to connect, encourage, and bring light into heavy places.
Over time, her creative work took many forms: poetry, lyrics, treatments, screenplays, and stage writing. Each format became another way to explore what Cecile returns to again and again: the power of friendship, the cost of loyalty, and the strength it takes to hold onto faith when life does not move on your timeline.
Creating Amazing Caring Woman

A Legacy of Faith and Humanity
Cecile’s work is rooted in gratitude and humanity. The jewish prayer book gives her peace, and she is contemplating writing a will, a reminder that faith and reflection are not only themes in her life, but daily companions.
When asked what matters most, Cecile returns to something simple: having good friends throughout your life is a must. It is a belief that shows up clearly in her storytelling, where friendship is not background. It is often the thing that saves someone.
The Message That Endures
The tale of her journey from one small house in Kingston to the stages of London and the pages of international publishing is a testimony that the stories can change not only the audience but the storyteller in the process.
